Event Captain
Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Event Captain to lead and coordinate our event operations, ensuring seamless execution from start to finish. As the pivotal point of contact during events, you will oversee team performance, manage client relationships, and uphold the highest standards of guest experience. Your leadership will drive the success of each event, fostering a lively atmosphere while maintaining meticulous attention to detail. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your organizational prowess, hospitality expertise, and project management skills in a fast-paced environment. For Full Time this position doubles as a restaurant supervisor when events are not being held. Responsibilities Lead kitchen and server staff to deliver exceptional guest services and ensure smooth event flow of table service. Coordinate with events manager and day of event coordinator to plan and execute event staff amd details effectively Oversee event setup, breakdown, and logistical arrangements, ensuring all elements adhere to safety standards and client specifications Ensure excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries promptly and resolving issues efficiently Restaurant Supervisor position: Manage staff in restaurant while on duty.
Day to day operations in FOH. Insure reservations are planed Provide staff support and direction Liaison between FOH and BOH Qualifications Proven experience in event planning, management, or hospitality industry roles with a focus on events management or banquet services Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams effectively Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction and team coordination Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with event management software and CRM systems Sound understanding of managing event budgets, contracts, fundraising efforts, and upselling strategies Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail and time management abilities Ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism and tact while maintaining a lively atmosphere Experience in negotiation and managing vendor relationships to optimize event outcomes Join us as an Event Captain and restauraunt supervisor if you're passionate about creating memorable experiences through meticulous planning, energetic leadership, and exceptional customer service.
