Job Description

Crooked Run Fermentation is a Virginia-based producer of contemporary and traditional beers, cool ship sours, natural wines, ciders, and seltzers. Started in 2013 in Leesburg, Virginia, Crooked Run has developed a following for creative and nuanced beverages across a variety of styles, from lagers to IPAs, barrel-aged stouts, sours, and beyond beer. In 2017, we opened our main production facility in Sterling, Virginia, and will open a third location in NE DC in 2022. This this a fun-loving, family-oriented environment with an awesome diverse staff! Blue Ridge Pickling and Crooked Run Fermentation are seeking reliable, hardworking temporary event staff/bar backs for the Pickle & International Food Festival in Sterling, VA, on October 17-18, 2026. This is a fast-paced, high-traffic festival at a brewery, and team members will help keep the venue clean, organized, safe, and running smoothly throughout the event. Responsibilities include clearing and wiping down tables, collecting trash and recycling throughout indoor and outdoor areas, changing and transporting trash bags, cleaning up spilled or abandoned drinks, food, removing empty cups and cans, keeping bar and guest areas clean, assisting brewery and festival staff as needed, and general event cleanup throughout the shift. This is an active position requiring frequent walking, standing, bending, lifting, and working both indoors and outdoors. Applicants should be dependable, comfortable working around large crowds, willing to get their hands dirty, and able to take direction in a high-paced festival environment.
