Job Summary LOARD'S Ice Cream is still in its original 1950s Dimond District location. Now, we get to share the space with a sandwich shop. We're a family-run spot in Oakland serving up classic ice cream and sweet treats in a welcoming, community-focused space. We're looking for kind, upbeat, and reliable team members to help us serve good vibes and great food. We will also be offering toasted sandwiches with a twist along with freshly brewed drinks at Weslo's Sandwiches. We're a small company so we need team members who are able to learn many skills. Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements or takeout orders Manage customer transactions accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems Ensure all food safety and sanitation procedures are followed diligently to maintain cleanliness standards Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions, resolving concerns, and ensuring guest satisfaction Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, counters, and restrooms in accordance with sanitation procedures Support food safety management practices by adhering to health regulations and reporting any issues promptly Assist with opening and closing duties, including cash handling and cleaning routines Greet our guests warmly and with a friendly attitude Explain the menu and guide guests through their orders Prepare orders Problem solve Perform front-of-house duties (sweeping, refilling, wiping down surfaces, etc.) and back-of-house duties (washing, cleaning, restocking, etc.) Skills Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor Experience working in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred but not required Familiarity with POS systems for processing orders and payments efficiently Ability to follow food safety management protocols to ensure guest safety and compliance Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with team members and guests Ability to stay energetic, organized, and attentive in a fast-paced setting Love for ice cream Ability to lift up to 25lbs Reliable and responsible Able to multitask with ease Weekend and weekday availability

Pay:

$17.34 - $20.00 per hour
