At farmers markets, we focus on hand-whisked ceremonial-grade matcha and roasted hojicha beverages prepared with precision and care. We create calm, welcoming moments — even in fast-paced outdoor environments. Position Overview We are hiring a reliable, detail-oriented team member to prepare matcha and hojicha beverages while supporting full market setup and breakdown operations. This role is both customer-facing and physically active. You must be comfortable with hands-on beverage preparation and event logistics.

Shift Hours:

Saturday (San Mateo Farmers Market) 8:30 AM - 1:30 PM ResponsibilitiesMatcha & Hojicha Preparation Hand-whisk ceremonial-grade matcha using proper technique Prepare hot and iced matcha beverages with correct ratios Prepare hojicha drinks consistently and efficiently Maintain smooth texture and presentation standards Keep whisking and brewing stations clean and organized Follow all food safety and temperature control guidelines Customer Service Greet customers warmly and professionally Answer basic questions about matcha and hojicha Make simple recommendations based on preferences Accurately process cash and card transactions Market Setup & Breakdown Assist with full booth setup before market opens Load and unload equipment, water containers, coolers, and supplies Lift and carry items up to 25 lbs Set up tables, tent, signage, and beverage stations Maintain organized workflow throughout the market Assist with full disassembly and pack-out after market Ensure all equipment is cleaned and properly stored Requirements Able to lift 25 lbs comfortably Comfortable standing 4-6+ hours outdoors Saturday availability Reliable transportation to market locations Calm and efficient during busy rush periods Detail-oriented and clean Preferred (not required): Barista or beverage prep experience Food handler certification Experience working outdoor events or markets Team Member Benefits Employee discount on Flow Tea beverages Hands-on training in matcha and hojicha preparation Experience working in a growing specialty tea brand Opportunity to grow with the company as we expand
