Job Description
Job Summary We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and hardworking Café & Deli Team Member to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in great food and service. This role requires a strong focus on food safety, cleanliness, and efficiency in a fast-paced environment. This individual will work closely with customers to ensure their needs are met and that they leave with a positive experience. Responsibilities Prepare and serve coffee, deli items, including meats, cheeses, salads, and sandwiches, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the deli area in accordance with food safety regulations. Operate cash registers and Clover POS systems to process customer transactions accurately. Assist customers by answering questions about products, making recommendations, and fulfilling special requests. Monitor inventory levels and assist in restocking products as needed to ensure availability. Collaborate with team members to maintain an efficient workflow during busy periods. Adhere to all health and safety guidelines while handling food products. Requirements Atleast 1 year experience in a restaurant, grocery store, or café setting is preferred. Or student that has completed a culinary program at tech school and is of age to use a meat slicer. Strong time management skills to effectively handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to pick up the pace during busy times and remain attentive. Knowledge of food safety practices and ability to sanitize work areas properly. ServeSafe Certification big plus! Proficiency in using cash registers and POS systems; familiarity with Clover POS is a plus. Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing. Excellent communication skills with a customer-oriented attitude. Must be comfortable speaking with customers, retaining customer names while keeping things professional on neutral grounds. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed. Availability between 6am - 3pm.
