  • $18 an hour 21 hours ago Benefits Employee discount Flexible schedule Qualifications Customer communication Interpersonal skills Sales transaction processing In-person customer service Public safety procedures POS systems Full Job Description Job Summary The Batavia Fine Arts Centre (BFAC) is a 15-year old state-of-the-art venue, producing/presenting hundreds of events annually from district events to local rentals and national tours.
We pride ourselves on a high level of customer service as we bring the arts to life for those who create here and for those who choose to celebrate the arts at our venue. Patron Experience Team members should have a superior level of interpersonal skills allowing the individual to multitask in a high-energy atmosphere while providing excellent customer service and ensuring the safety of our patrons. This position is event-based and most hours are on nights and weekends. The busy months are October through June. During the months of February
  • June, the successful candidate will be required to work two (2) weekends per month.
Key duties include reading tickets and sending patrons to the correct location, being a team player, understanding BFAC policies, knowing the appropriate response in an emergency, preshow inspection, and closing procedures. This position could work a variety of event types, including: school events, dance recitals, national tour concerts, celebrities, weekend long dance competitions and more.
The successful candidate should:
  • Provide an excellent patron experience at all performances.
  • Resolve conflicts with any patron issues.

  • knowledge with computers and ticketing systems, point of sale systems The position is event based. The BFAC is busiest
  • October
  • December & February
  • June.
Hours within those months can get as high as 35 hours in a 4 day span. At other times of year there may be no hours. This position is perfect for the individual wanting work around the BFAC busy months, who understands in other months there may be little to no hours scheduled. Based upon the skills of particular candidates, other opportunities may be available throughout the year.
