In this energetic role, you will be the backbone of our kitchen operations, preparing fresh ingredients and assembling delicious pizzas, subs, and salads that delight our customers. Responsibilities Prepare ingredients for pizzas, subs, salads, and other menu items according to standardized recipes and safety guidelines Operate kitchen equipment such as slicers, ovens, mixers, and food processors safely and efficiently Assemble menu items with precision, ensuring consistency in presentation and portion sizes Maintain cleanliness of workstations by following proper sanitation procedures and cleaning schedules Assist with food handling and storage to uphold food safety standards and prevent cross-contamination Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service Follow all safety standards during food production to ensure a safe working environment for everyone Experience Previous experience in a dietary department or food service environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided Familiarity with menu planning, food preparation, and cooking techniques is advantageous Experience operating kitchen equipment such as slicers, ovens, or food processors is beneficial Knowledge of food safety management practices and proper food handling procedures is highly valued Restaurant or catering experience demonstrating strong teamwork and communication skills is a plus Basic knife skills including slicing techniques are desirable for efficient ingredient prep Prior experience adhering to recipes and safety standards in a fast-paced setting will help you excel in this role
