This role involves providing excellent customer service, preparing fresh food items, and ensuring a clean and organized workspace. Ideal candidates will have a passion for food, strong multitasking skills, and experience in fast-paced food or retail settings. The position offers an opportunity to develop culinary skills and gain valuable experience in the food industry. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist them with their selections at the deli counter. Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate cash handling and sales transactions. Upsell products to enhance customer experience and increase sales. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, including food prep areas, counters, and equipment. Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and giving correct change. Restock supplies as needed and ensure product displays are attractive and organized. Follow proper food safety protocols, including proper food handling, sanitation, and serving procedures. Assist with bussing tables or cleaning areas during slower periods to support overall store operations. Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, offering recommendations, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Experience Previous experience in food service, quick service restaurants, or retail environments is preferred. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus. Culinary experience or background in the food industry is advantageous but not required; training will be provided. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy hours. Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and inventory management. Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional demeanor.
