This position is responsible for preparing and organizing meals and snacks, maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen, and ensuring food is safely distributed to classrooms according to the center's schedule. Key Responsibilities Prepare and portion breakfast, lunch, and snacks for children. Organize and distribute meals to classrooms on time. Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and food safety procedures. Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and food preparation area. Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, food containers, and kitchen equipment. Receive food deliveries and properly store refrigerated, frozen, and dry goods. Monitor food inventory and notify management when supplies need to be reordered. Follow posted menus and appropriate portion sizes. Pay close attention to children's documented food allergies and dietary restrictions. Label, date, and properly store food according to safety requirements. Complete required cleaning and sanitation tasks throughout the day. Remove trash and maintain cleanliness of kitchen and food-service areas. Work cooperatively with teachers and administrative staff to ensure meals are delivered smoothly and on schedule. Follow all center policies and applicable health and safety regulations. Assist with other food-service and center-related duties as assigned.

Pay:

$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
