Love working outdoors and don't mind getting your hands dirty? You may be a great fit for our Field Crew! O'Donal's Nursery is looking for a dependable, hardworking Field Crew Member to join our team for our March through December season. This is a hands-on outdoor position working in our growing fields with trees, shrubs, and other nursery stock. Our Field Crew is a team that works hard, helps one another, and takes pride in seeing the results of a good day's work. If you enjoy being outdoors, staying active, and working alongside a great group of people, we'd love to hear from you. What You'll Do As part of the Field Crew, you'll help with a variety of seasonal nursery activities, including:

• Planting, digging, wrapping, and transporting nursery stock
• Pruning, trimming, weeding, and watering
• Applying tree wrap and installing deer fencing
• Assisting with the care and maintenance of our growing fields and nursery stock
• Using and caring for tools and equipment
• Keeping work areas clean, organized, and safe
• Completing basic paperwork such as sales orders and time records
• Following O'Donal's safety practices and procedures
• Pitching in wherever needed - teamwork is a big part of what we do! What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is:
• Dependable, responsible, and ready to work
• Self-motivated and able to work independently, stay on task, and get the job done without needing constant direction
• Positive, approachable, and a good team player
• Comfortable working outdoors in a variety of Maine weather conditions
• Able to perform active, physical work throughout the day, including regularly lifting 20-40 pounds and working at ground level
• Willing to work longer hours during busy periods when needed
• Courteous and professional when working with coworkers and customers
• Able to communicate effectively and follow directions
• A holder of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record Horticultural or agricultural knowledge is helpful, but we also value a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
