Job Summary The News Room is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused American Food Service Associate to support daily restaurant operations and provide efficient, welcoming service to guests. This role involves assisting with food preparation and service, taking orders, supporting beverage service, maintaining clean work areas, restocking supplies, and working collaboratively with the restaurant team. Responsibilities Welcome guests and provide friendly, professional service. Take customer orders accurately and communicate special requests to the appropriate team members. Assist with preparing, portioning, packaging, and serving food items. Support the preparation and service of restaurant menu items according to established procedures. Assist with beverage service and completing customer orders. Ensure food and beverage orders are accurate, complete, and served promptly. Answer customer questions about menu items, ingredients, and available options. Operate the point-of-sale system and process customer payments accurately as needed. Maintain clean and organized counters, dining areas, service stations, and workspaces. Clear and reset tables while helping maintain a neat and welcoming environment. Restock food ingredients, beverages, utensils, napkins, packaging, and other service supplies. Assist front-of-house and kitchen teams during busy service periods. Follow food handling, sanitation, cleanliness, and workplace safety procedures. Help maintain consistent food presentation, portioning, order accuracy, and service quality. Communicate customer requests, supply needs, and service concerns to supervisors. Assist with opening, closing, cleaning, and general restaurant duties. Handle food service equipment, ingredients, supplies, and customer property carefully and professionally. Help organize workstations and prepare service areas for daily operations. Assist with monitoring inventory and communicating supply needs when necessary. Perform other food service and restaurant support duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous restaurant, food service, hospitality, or customer service experience is preferred but not required. Friendly, professional, and customer-focused attitude. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Good attention to detail and order accuracy. Willingness to learn food preparation, service procedures, and menu information. Ability to maintain cleanliness and follow food safety practices. Reliable, punctual, and responsible work habits. Pay:
