Responsibilities Prepare a variety of sandwiches and food items according to established recipes and menu specifications, ensuring consistency and quality. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including slicing machines, grills, ovens, and other culinary tools. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene by following proper handling procedures, cleaning protocols, and safety regulations. Assist with menu planning by suggesting ingredient combinations and ensuring ingredient availability for daily operations. Collaborate closely with kitchen staff to coordinate food preparation, manage timing, and deliver prompt service to customers. Ensure all food presentation meets company standards for appearance and quality before serving. Keep the work area clean, organized, and sanitized throughout the shift to promote a safe and efficient workspace. Experience Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred, especially in sandwich or deli preparation. Demonstrated knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to safety standards in production environments. Experience with dietary department or dietary aide roles is a plus, showcasing familiarity with special dietary needs and menu planning. Skilled in knife handling techniques, slicing methods, and precise food portioning to ensure consistency. Ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team members to coordinate meal preparation and customer service. Background in catering or large-scale meal prep is advantageous for managing high-volume demands efficiently. Culinary experience that includes cooking techniques, recipe adherence, and operating various kitchen equipment is highly valued.
