This position is ideal for TCNJ students or other part-time applicants who are looking for restaurant experience and have availability during evenings, late nights, and weekends. Priority Availability We are specifically looking for applicants available: Evenings and dinner shifts, Late-night shifts Thursday, Friday, and Saturday TCNJ students with weekday evening and weekend availability are encouraged to apply Our shifts generally fall between 11:00 AM and 11:00 PM, but our immediate hiring priority is for candidates who can help cover our busiest dinner, evening, late-night, and weekend shifts. Applicants with only weekday daytime availability may not be a fit for our current staffing needs. Position Summary As a Front of House / Customer Service Associate, you will be one of the first people our guests interact with. You will help create a welcoming experience while keeping the front counter, dining room, and customer areas clean, organized, and ready for service. During slower periods between lunch and dinner, you may also assist with light kitchen preparation, restocking, inventory, and cleaning. Key Responsibilities Customer Service & Toast POS Greet and assist customers Answer questions about the menu Take accurate orders using Toast POS Process cash and credit card payments Package dine-in, takeout, and delivery orders Maintain order accuracy Address customer concerns professionally Dining Room & Restaurant Maintenance Wipe and sanitize tables, chairs, counters, and customer areas Sweep and mop the front counter and dining areas Maintain clean and organized indoor and outdoor customer spaces Clean interior and exterior restaurant windows as assigned Clean and maintain men's and women's restrooms Empty trash and replace liners as needed Stocking & Inventory Restock beverages, sauces, utensils, napkins, packaging, and other supplies Monitor inventory levels Identify and report low-running items Assist with inventory counts and organization Kitchen Support During Downtime Assist with light food preparation Portion ingredients and sauces Help organize and stock kitchen supplies Assist with dishes and cleaning when needed Support the kitchen team between lunch and dinner rushes What We're Looking For Previous customer service, cashier, retail, or restaurant experience preferred Friendly and professional communication skills Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Ability to multitask Strong attention to cleanliness and organization Reliable and punctual Willingness to learn Toast POS and restaurant operations Toast POS experience is a plus but not required. Training will be provided.
