Responsibilities:
Deliver warm, engaging, and highly personable customer service — chat with customers, offer knowledgeable recommendations, and create memorable shopping experiences Maintain outstanding product quality, presentation, and freshness across our specialty departments (cheeses, meats, seafood, produce, and pantry items) Support daily store operations including opening/closing procedures, stocking, merchandising, and keeping the market clean and inviting Help with inventory management and POS transactions Work collaboratively with our small, friendly team to uphold the highest standards of food safety and professionalism
Requirements:
Passion for specialty foods, gourmet products, and excellent customer service Natural people-person who enjoys talking with customers and building rapport Previous retail or customer service experience (1+ years preferred) Comfortable working with fine cheeses, meats, seafood, and fresh produce Basic computer skills and familiarity with POS systems is a plus Ability to stand for 6-8 hours and lift up to 40 lbs Reliable transportation and flexibility to work daytime hours, weekends, and holidays Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a genuine love for food Why Join Olde Hudson Market?
