Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist with their orders at the front counter, ensuring quick and friendly service. Operate POS systems such as Square POS accurately for sales transactions, cash handling, and receipts. Prepare and serve food items following safety and sanitation standards, including basic food preparation and food handling procedures. Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities. Maintain cleanliness of the front counter area, including bussing tables, sanitizing surfaces, and ensuring food safety compliance. Manage cash register operations efficiently, including cash handling, giving change, and balancing cash drawers at shift end. Support kitchen staff with food prep tasks when needed, demonstrating culinary experience and teamwork in a quick service or fast-food restaurant setting. Skills Proven experience in food service, cashiering, or restaurant environments. Familiarity with Square POS or willingness to learn to perform cashier duties Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively with diverse customers. Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures. Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while multitasking between serving customers and food prep. Basic math skills for cash handling, sales upselling, and inventory management. Experience in food preparation or kitchen work is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
