This role supports daily café operations, maintains clean beverage stations, handles customer orders, and helps create a welcoming environment for guests. Common Job Roles Café Beverage Associate Barista Associate Coffee Shop Associate Beverage Service Associate Café Team Member Key Responsibilities Prepare coffee, tea, espresso, and specialty beverages according to café standards Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service Take customer orders and process payments accurately Operate espresso machines, grinders, brewers, and other café equipment safely Assist customers with beverage selections and product questions Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked beverage stations Restock coffee, tea, milk, syrups, cups, and other café supplies Assist with food preparation, display setup, and packaging as needed Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures Support team members during busy service periods Assist with opening, closing, and routine café operations Perform additional beverage and customer service duties assigned by management Requirements Previous barista, café, restaurant, retail, or customer service experience is an asset but not required Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced café environment Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented Ability to stand for extended periods and multitask effectively Willingness to learn beverage preparation and café procedures Preferred Skills Experience preparing espresso and specialty coffee beverages Knowledge of coffee, tea, and beverage preparation techniques Familiarity with POS systems and café equipment Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities Good organization and time management skills Positive attitude and attention to beverage quality About the Company Gypsy Coffee House operates in the café and beverage service industry, providing coffee, tea, specialty beverages, and related café products in a welcoming environment.
