Responsibilities Perform deep cleaning tasks across various facility areas, including floors, restrooms, offices, and common spaces using commercial cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers. Handle cleaning chemicals safely by following proper chemical handling safety procedures and maintaining accurate records of chemical usage. Conduct custodial duties such as trash removal, surface disinfecting, window cleaning, and floor care to uphold cleanliness standards. Assist with minor maintenance tasks including light repairs, painting touch-ups, and equipment inspections to ensure facilities remain in excellent condition. Operate cleaning machinery safely while adhering to all safety protocol guidelines for heavy lifting and manual handling to prevent injuries. Support facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs needed for lighting, plumbing, or structural issues promptly. Maintain detailed logs of cleaning activities, safety checks, and maintenance tasks performed during overnight shifts. Requirements Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles with knowledge of commercial cleaning practices. Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and chemical sprayers. Ability to handle chemical agents safely by following proper safety procedures and handling instructions. Physical capability for heavy lifting and manual handling tasks while practicing safe lifting techniques. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to sanitation and cleanliness standards. Excellent time management skills to complete tasks efficiently during overnight hours. Prior experience in facilities maintenance or porter roles is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
