This is not an entry-level moving position . We are specifically looking for someone who has previous professional moving experience and has experience leading a moving crew and running jobs independently . As the Lead Mover, you will be trusted to take ownership of the move from arrival through completion. You should be able to assess the job, organize your crew, protect the customer's belongings and property, determine the safest and most efficient way to move and load items, communicate professionally with the customer, and keep the job moving without constant supervision from the owner. We are a growing company, so this is a good opportunity for someone who wants consistent part-time moving work now with the potential for increased responsibility and hours as the company grows. Responsibilities Lead 2-3 person moving crews on residential moving jobs Complete an initial walkthrough with the customer and assess the scope of work Direct and pace the crew throughout the job Properly wrap, protect, carry, load, and unload furniture and household goods Safely handle stairs, tight spaces, heavy furniture, appliances, and fragile items Determine proper truck loading and load securement when applicable Prevent damage to furniture, walls, floors, doors, and customer property Communicate professionally with customers throughout the move Track accurate job start and completion times Handle reasonable changes in job scope and communicate issues when necessary Ensure equipment and moving supplies are accounted for Keep the crew productive and professional Identify problems early and contact the owner when something genuinely requires escalation Help train and develop less-experienced movers Complete the job correctly without requiring constant owner supervision Requirements Previous professional moving experience required Previous experience leading a moving crew or independently running moving jobs required Strong knowledge of furniture protection, wrapping, lifting techniques, loading and unloading Able to safely perform physically demanding work throughout a moving shift Able to confidently direct other movers Strong customer-service and communication skills Dependable transportation Reliable smartphone Consistent attendance and punctuality Comfortable working independently and making good decisions in the field Must treat customers, their homes, and their belongings professionally Weekend availability strongly preferred Weekday availability is a major plus What We're Looking For We're looking for someone we can trust with our customers and our reputation .
