Food Service & Customer Experience Associate The Paleta Bar Houston, TX Job Details Part-time | Full-time $9 - $10 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Employee discount Opportunities for advancement Flexible schedule Qualifications Spanish Packing English Packaging Picking & packing Full Job Description About the Role The Paleta Bar is a gourmet paleta shop where customers create their own Mexican-style popsicle by choosing from fresh fruit and cream flavors, along with dips, drizzles, and toppings. All products are handmade fresh in the store every day. As a Food Service & Customer Experience Associate , you'll be the first point of contact for customers. You'll help guests understand the menu, take and prepare orders, process payments, and make sure the shop stays clean, organized, and well-stocked. This is a fast-paced, customer-focused position where a positive and welcoming attitude is just as important as efficiency. Responsibilities Welcome customers and help them choose flavors, dips, and toppings. Accurately enter orders and process cash, credit/debit card, and mobile payments. Prepare paletas and aguas frescas according to presentation and quality standards. Organize and package in-store, online, delivery, and takeout orders. Refill supplies and maintain cleanliness throughout the shop, including freezers and seating areas. Follow all food safety procedures and local health department requirements. Qualifications Dependable and available to work evenings and weekends. Friendly, patient, and comfortable assisting families and first-time customers. Able to remain standing throughout a full shift and lift items weighing up to 25 pounds. Willing to obtain a Texas Food Handler Certification within 30 days of starting; the company covers the cost. Spanish/English bilingual skills and previous food-service experience are preferred but not required. Schedule & Benefits Shifts are scheduled during the following store hours:
Monday-Thursday:
11:30 AM-9:00PM Friday-Saturday:
11:30 AM-10:00PM Sunday:
