Position Overview The Deli Lead is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the deli while ensuring high standards of food quality, freshness, cleanliness, and customer service. This role ensures that products are prepared, presented, and stocked according to established recipes, standards, and procedures. Responsibilities Prepare made-to-order sandwiches and deli items according to customer requests, established recipes, and portion standards. Lead and support daily deli operations, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and accurately. Prepare, package, label, and stock food for the Grab-and-Go station. Monitor food freshness, expiration dates, product quality, and proper rotation of inventory. Ensure deli displays, Grab-and-Go offerings, and work areas are properly stocked, organized, and presented. Monitor inventory levels and restock ingredients, kitchen supplies, packaging, and other deli items as needed. Help maintain appropriate product availability throughout the shift and communicate shortages or operational needs to management. Follow all food preparation, sanitation, food safety, and workplace safety regulations and procedures. Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning, stocking, food storage, and equipment checks. Provide friendly, professional, and responsive service to customers while addressing questions and special requests. Communicate effectively with management and team members regarding customer needs, product quality, inventory, and daily operations. Help ensure the deli operates efficiently and consistently in accordance with company standards and expectations. Skills and Qualifications Must have reliable transportation to and from work. Previous grocery, convenience store, retail, or customer service experience preferred but not required. High school diploma or GED preferred. Friendly, dependable, and customer-focused attitude. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks. Ability to lift and move products as required. Cash-handling experience preferred. Food Safety Certification preferred.

$17.00 - $18.00 per hour
