Deli and Grocery ClerkPart Time, $23/hour to start8-24 hours per weekDay shifts only: we are currently hiring for Saturdays, and possible Sundays, and other shifts through the holidays.

We are a fine food shop and deli located on Western Ave between Pike Place Market and the Waterfront. We specialize in foods and wines from Spain, France, and Portugal and carry a large variety of cheeses and cured meats cut to order, tinned fish, French butters, condiments, snacks etc.

We are looking for someone who has an interest in food and/or wine and/or travel who has experience working with fine foods or has an interest in and willingness to learn. Bonus would be someone with knowledge of wines and/or cheeses.

We are open from 9:30am to 5:30pm seven days a week and shifts last from 8-8 1/2 hours.

Pleasant Customer Service:

greet customers, take orders, assist customers in finding items in the shop, answer phone, etc.

Deli Counter Service:

slice cured meats and portion cheeses to order, maintain order and cleanliness of deli area

Grocery Stocking:

price and shelve incoming grocery items, rotate stock, and maintain overall appearance of the shop

Cleaning:

dust shelves, clean shelves, counters, and refrigerators, sweep and mop floors, wash dishes, and maintain sanitation of deli area.

Job Requirements:

must be at least 18, have a current King County Food Handlers Permit, be able to lift 30 pounds, good communication skills and ability to engage with a variety of people.
