About GoodMartGoodMart is our new seafood market, fast casual restaurant in Ballard, from the team behind Local Tide in Fremont. We re bringing the same care for Pacific Northwest seafood, approachable food, and warm hospitality to a new neighborhood and building a team that s excited to make it their own.
We take our food and service seriously, and we believe enjoying the work and looking after each other are part of doing it well.
About the RoleWe re looking for a hands on Front-of-House Lead who loves taking care of people guests and teammates alike. You ll work alongside the crew during service, help set the pace on the floor, and handle the behind-the-scenes details that keep the shop running smoothly.
This is an opportunity to help shape service at a new spot, build strong habits with the team, and turn first-time visitors into familiar faces.
What You ll DoLead from the floorWelcome guests, guide them through our offerings, take orders, and operate the POS.Expedite and garnish dishes, coordinate orders, and keep service moving.
Pitch in on bussing, cleaning, restocking, and whatever the team needs.
Set clear expectations, offer support and feedback, and hold the team accountable with care.
Partner with the back-of-house lead to solve problems and keep everyone communicating during busy shifts.
Keep the shop readyTrack and order service supplies, including takeaway packaging, utensils, and bags.
Keep storage areas organized and supplies stocked.
Oversee beverage inventory and ordering.
Help establish and refine daily routines as GoodMart grows.
Keep information flowingRespond to general guest inquiries and coordinate private-event or buyout requests with the team.
Make sure front-of-house staff have the information they need for each shift.
Keep menus, signage, and other guest-facing materials accurate and up to date.
