What You'll Do:

Key Responsibilities As an Assistant Brewer, you'll play a vital role in crafting high-quality beer while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized brewing environment. Reporting to the Head Brewer, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Performing cellar operations such as tank cleaning (CIP), dry hopping, and tank additions.
• Preparing and maintaining accurate records, both manually and digitally.
• Following the production schedule and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
• Milling grain and prepping tanks for brewing.
• Transferring, carbonating, and packaging finished beer according to SOPs.
• Assisting with packaging operations, including operating the canning line and cleaning/filling kegs.
• Organizing cold storage and receiving raw materials.
• Troubleshooting brewery equipment and tools as needed.
• Keeping production areas clean, organized, and safe at all times.

What We're Looking For:

Qualifications and Skills We're seeking someone who not only loves beer but also thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. Here's what we're looking for:

• Experience:

  At least 1 year of prior brewery experience or brewing-specific education is preferred.

• Education:

  Formal brewing education or a degree in a relevant technical/scientific field is a plus.

• Technical Knowledge:

  Basic understanding of raw materials, brewing fundamentals, and production processes.

• Skills:

• Strong work ethic and a passion for brewing exceptional beer.
• Adaptability and comfort in a fast-paced environment.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to pitch in wherever needed.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and brewery management software (EKOS is a plus).

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, walk, reach, and stoop for up to 10 hours, lift up to 55 lbs., and handle kegs weighing up to 160 lbs.
