Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Distillery Manager to lead our craft beverage production operations. This pivotal role involves overseeing all aspects of distillery activities, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. As the key leader within our manufacturing team, you will drive continuous improvement, uphold strict safety and sanitation protocols, and foster a collaborative environment that promotes innovation and excellence in beverage creation. We are DOERS, we'd love it if you were to. Responsibilities Lead daily operations of the distillery, including bottling, canning, blending, packaging, and warehouse management. Distillation experience is a plus, but not necessary Ensure compliance with food safety standards Oversee sanitation procedures/CIP to guarantee cleanliness and prevent contamination throughout the facility. Troubleshoot equipment issues promptly to minimize downtime and optimize production efficiency. Manage material handling processes using forklifts and other equipment, ensuring safe manual handling and heavy lifting practices. Supervise team members, providing training on machine operation, safety protocols, and quality assurance procedures. Maintain accurate documentation of production records, quality checks, and safety inspections to support compliance audits. Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, operational efficiency, and safety standards within the facility. Requirements Proven experience in beverage manufacturing or food & beverage production environments, particularly within craft beer or spirits industries. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively. Familiarity with sanitation practices such as HACCP and CGMP standards to ensure product safety. Experience operating manufacturing machinery, material handling equipment including forklifts, and understanding industrial chemical handling protocols. Knowledge of brewing processes or beverage production techniques is highly desirable. Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting while adhering to safety standards. Basic math skills for inventory management, measurements, and quality control calculations. Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing teams in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. Commitment to maintaining high safety standards in all aspects of production activities. Warehouse experience including material storage and logistics coordination is a plus. Pay:
$50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
