Job Description

Company overview: Family farm/winery, located in Cleveland, GA. 100% farm-to-table. All our fruit is grown on our 30-acre farm. We produce muscadine grapes, raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, peaches, apples, and elderberries. We also produce our own honey for mead. Family-owned. On-site housing is available. Rapidly growing with plans for future expansion.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage, receive, and process the annual fruit harvest. (60+ tons ) Source and manage all winery equipment and supplies. Produce approx. 5500 gallons of bottled wine and mead annually. Manage all inventory. Manage and follow all food safety initiatives and laws. Keep work areas clean and organized. Develop new recipes and formulas. Chemically analyze all juice and wine before, during, and after fermentation. Manage any chemical additions in accordance with the law. Manage all QC/QA standards. Work directly with ownership to make the future production schedule. Assist in marketing and sales projects. Represent the company at occasional outside functions. Manage company email and correspondence with all vendors, customers, agencies, etc.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
1 year+ previous commercial wine/mead-making mandatory. Knowledge of Sanke keg/tap systems dissasembly/sanatization/filling/forced carbonation. Experience working with
TTB/ USDA
/ Georgia Department of Revenue is a plus. 1 year of experience in wine chemistry is mandatory, and experience in one or more of the following fields would be great but not necessary: • Enology, viticulture, viniculture, microbiology. • Commercial food production.
