About Joe Brett's :

Joe Brett's is a Kentucky-made ice cream company built around great ice cream, local collaboration, and a little bit of Kentucky spirit. We produce both traditional, non-alcoholic ice cream and our signature spirit-crafted ice cream containing 5% ABV , combining premium ice cream with bourbon, whiskey, rum, tequila, and other spirits. Our products are served through retail partners, events, concession locations, collaborations, and other growing distribution channels throughout Kentucky and beyond. We're still a small team, which means the people who join us have an opportunity to be part of building the company rather than simply working inside of it. As we grow, we want to create more opportunities for the people who help us get there. Position overview This role is a good fit for someone who likes being active, enjoys hands-on work, and takes pride in making a physical product well. We're a small company, so there may be days when you're helping make ice cream in the morning, packaging orders in the afternoon, and helping get a delivery out the door before the end of the day. We want someone who is dependable, pays attention to details, keeps their workspace clean, and is willing to jump in when something needs to get done. We're growing into new retail locations, developing collaborations with local businesses, and expanding Joe Brett's into new markets. That means more ice cream to make, more orders to prepare, and more opportunities for the right person to grow with us.

This is a hands-on production position. You'll work alongside our team making, packaging, organizing, and preparing our products while also helping wherever needed in a small, growing business. This is an onsite position. What You'll Do Assist with daily ice cream production and batch preparation Measure, prepare, and organize ingredients according to recipes and production standards Operate and assist with cleaning ice cream-making and food-production equipment Fill, package, seal, label, and organize finished products Follow recipes, batch sheets, food-safety procedures, and quality-control standards Maintain a clean and sanitary production environment Wash, sanitize, and properly store equipment, utensils, containers, and production tools Help receive, organize, rotate, and monitor ingredients and supplies Assist with freezer organization and finished-product inventory Prepare wholesale and retail orders for pickup or delivery Load, transport, and occasionally deliver products to local retail partners or events Assist with scooping, serving, and interacting with customers when needed Help with setup, cleanup, stocking, and general shop operations Communicate production needs, low inventory, equipment issues, or quality concerns to the team Follow procedures for safely handling products containing alcohol Pitch in wherever needed as part of a small production team. Requirements Must be 21 years of age or older due to the production and handling of our 5% ABV spirit-crafted ice cream High school diploma or equivalent preferred Food safety certification or willingness to obtain certification Ability to repeatedly lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Comfortable standing and working on your feet for extended periods Reliable transportation Valid driver's license and ability to make occasional local deliveries Comfortable interacting with customers and retail partners Able to work safely in refrigerated/freezer environments as needed Able to follow recipes, measurements, written procedures, and sanitation requirements accurately Must comply with all workplace hygiene, sanitation, and smoke-free facility policies Dependable, hardworking, organized, and comfortable working as part of a small team. Food-production, kitchen, manufacturing, culinary, warehouse, dairy, or similar experience is a plus, but we're also willing to train someone with the right attitude and work ethic.
