Overview Join our vibrant team as a Tasting Room Associate and become the welcoming face of our winery experience! In this lively role, you'll engage with visitors, share your wine knowledge, and create memorable tasting experiences that highlight our exceptional wines. Your enthusiasm for hospitality and passion for wine will help foster a warm, inviting atmosphere where guests feel valued and eager to explore our offerings. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in customer service, sales, and the food and beverage industry while working in a dynamic, team-oriented environment. We are not currently open but our soft open dates are August 15th and 16th this year. We offer commissions on Wine Club sign ups and bottle sales commission. Responsibilities Greet guests warmly upon arrival and guide them through the tasting experience with enthusiasm and professionalism Provide detailed information about our wines, including tasting notes, production methods, and food pairings to enhance guest enjoyment Serve wine samples accurately using proper wine service techniques and ensure proper presentation Assist customers with selecting wines for purchase, upselling where appropriate to maximize sales opportunities Maintain cleanliness and organization of the tasting room, including glassware, tables, and display areas Manage POS (Point of Sale) system VinesOS for processing transactions efficiently and accurately Support menu planning efforts by providing feedback on guest preferences and popular selections to help refine offerings Uphold food safety standards when handling food or snacks offered during tastings and ensure compliance with health regulations Collaborate with team members to deliver exceptional hospitality experiences that reflect our brand values Educate guests about our Wine Club options Skills Proven experience in customer service within the food and beverage industry, preferably in wineries, restaurants, or fine dining settings Strong knowledge of wine varieties, tasting techniques, and wine service standards Familiarity with POS systems Excellent communication skills to educate guests about wines and promote sales through upselling techniques Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly while maintaining attention to detail Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Previous restaurant, catering, banquet, or food service experience is highly desirable Embark on a rewarding journey in the hospitality industry by sharing your passion for wine and delivering outstanding guest experiences.
