Production Brewing Experience Preffered Salary DOE Job Description:
La Cumbre Brewing Co has been brewing some of the highest quality beer in NM for over 12 years with production reaching 17,000 bbls / year. We are seeking a detail-oriented brewer with a passion for the highest quality craft beer, who can maintain and execute all functions in the brewery according to LCBC policy and procedure, safety requirements, and best practice.
Job Responsibilities:
Execute the necessary production duties including but not limited to all aspects of wort production, fermentation management, filtration, fining, and bright beer handling. Ensure that all beer that is produced meets LCBC standards and specification. Maintain detailed brewing, cellaring and other related documentation in an organized manner with complete accuracy. All aspects of cellar work- including CIP/SIP of fermentation vessels, conditioning vessels, and process piping, as well as dry hopping, transferring and fining, filter, racking and carbonating finished beer. Making sure to achieve the lowest possible DO levels Clean and sanitize all equipment and work areas to maintain consistent beer quality. Maintain healthy communication with other departments (QA/QC, Packaging, Tasting Rooms). Possess or desire to possess knowledge of brewing and beer styles. A desire to learn more techniques, new and old. Willingness to participate in festivals and promotional events as needed while representing the company and the brand in a professional manner. Perform all job functions within the structure described in the Employee handbook of policies and procedures at LCBC Ability to adapt to new procedures and methods as the brewery evolves and grows Assist co-workers and cross train as needed in other department to ensure all brewery goals are accomplished Attend brewery staff meetings as required.
Job Requirements:
Work or have worked as a brewer (formal brewing education preferred) Ability to work and communicate well with all staff. Organized and detail oriented; accurate record keeping skills. Basic troubleshooting skills in a brewing/manufacturing setting. Read, write and calculate basic algebra. Team Player and good communication skills
Physical Requirements:
Lift 55 lbs. from ground to shoulder high. Lift 110 lbs. from ground to waist high and moving 165 lbs. along the floor. Climb stairs, ramps, and ladders on a regular. Be on your feet all day. Work in small and confined spaces. Work safely with chemicals with reasonable safety accommodations. Work in loud environment with basic safety accommodations. Not afraid to get wet.
