Job Description
POSITION OVERVIEW
Under direction of the Tasting Room Manager the Tasting Room Associate ensures quality experiences for guests while maintaining a professional and friendly attitude. Associate is in contact with the public on a daily basis promoting and selling our products via wine tasting and winery knowledge. Associate may be asked to work wine events off site.JOB FUNCTIONS
Organizes the work place in order to be ready for work on a daily basis, including cleaning duties Communicates with the TR manager on inventory and supplies needed Helps with shipping retail orders Stocks wine and retail items Conducts wine tastings and tours of the winery Communicates movement of inventory relative to the tasting room and shipping room. Promotes Wine Club Supports winery needs at special events Answers phone calls, takes phone orders Practices customers service skills Fills out documents such as invoices etc… in relation to retail sales Carries orders out to customer vehicle if needed Fulfill internet orders Other duties as assignedPERFORMANCE MEASURES

Internal - Production\Operations, Tasting Room Manager, Salespeople, Production employees, Tasting room employees External -Customers, Vendors, the general public.PHYSICAL DEMAND
The physical requirements include the able to lift at least 50lbs. The job requires lifting of cases of wine, carrying shipping boxes and supplies, bending forwards and sideways, crouching, picking up, lifting heavy material. There will be down time when physical demands are minimal.WORK ENVIRONMENT
The winery is a non-smoking and noisy environment. Due to the temperature requirements for the winery, the temperature in the winery may be cold at times particularly during the winter months.Job Types:
