The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and an understanding of kitchen operations. Weekend work is required. This multi-functional role will help prepare fresh bulk food products in large quantities, and bulk pack the finished product for shipment in a warehouse/kitchen environment.

Schedule:

Tue, Wed, Sat, Sun, 6:00am to 4:30pm. Additional hours may be available on Mon and Thurs as the need arises, holiday work may be required per business needs, and schedules and start & end times are subject to change per business requirements. Responsibilities 1 year minimum line/prep cook/warehouse packing experience. Ability to prep and cook large amounts of bulk food products. Ability to use both hands to manually label and pack bulk products. Able to lift objects up to 60 pounds frequently. Able to stand and walk for long periods of time. Ability to work in refrigerated warehouse (40 degrees). Ability to work in a hot kitchen (80 degrees). Ability to work in a fast paced, changing environment. Must be reliable with excellent attendance. Good communication and teamwork skills. Must be able to read and understand English. Able to follow directions and count product. Must be 18 years of age. All employees are required to follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) mandated by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA): Cell phones are not allowed in production areas. Jewelry is not allowed while working in the warehouse or kitchen. Hair nets and beard nets are required while working with produce/food. Proper personnel hygiene is required and essential to all daily functions while working in the warehouse.

Requirements:

Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential. 1 year minimum warehouse packing and/or line/prep cook experience preferred. Experience with food distribution/other warehouse packing environments a plus. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with team members. High school diploma or GED. Must be 18 years of age.

Compensation based on experience:
