JOB PURPOSE
The Cash Operations Supervisor is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the Cash Control Department in a fast-paced live dinner show and entertainment environment. This is a hands-on supervisory position responsible for cash handling, register assignments, daily reconciliations, closing reports, employee scheduling, timekeeping, training, payroll preparation and guest service support. The Cash Operations Supervisor works closely with the Accounting Department and Human Resources Director to maintain accurate financial and employee records, follow company procedures, support payroll processing and ensure departmental deadlines are met. Because the company operates a live dinner show, this position also interacts directly with guests by assisting with guest check-in, seating and resolving guest concerns in a professional and courteous manner. The successful candidate must be dependable, organized, detail-oriented and comfortable working with employees, guests and multiple departments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Cash Operations and Accounting Oversee daily cash-handling activities and ensure established procedures are followed. Assign and track cash registers for the Bar and Retail/Photo Departments . Ensure registers are properly assigned, secured and accounted for throughout each shift. Verify register assignments and cash accountability at the beginning and end of each shift. Review cash drawers and register activity for accuracy. Complete and/or review end-of-shift closing reports for Cash Control, Bar and Retail/Photo operations. Verify that closing reports are complete, accurate and submitted according to established procedures and deadlines. Review daily cash reports, deposits and reconciliations for accuracy. Assist with identifying, researching and resolving cash discrepancies. Communicate cash, register or closing-report discrepancies to the appropriate manager and Accounting Department. Work closely with the Accounting Department regarding cash reports, deposits, reconciliations and supporting documentation. Assist with preparing daily, weekly and monthly cash reports. Ensure cash drawers, deposits and supporting documentation are properly maintained. Monitor cash control procedures and promptly report discrepancies or concerns to management. Maintain confidentiality when handling financial information. Maintain organized and accurate departmental records. Guest Check-In and Guest Services Assist with guest check-in and arrival procedures for the dinner show. Assist with seating guests and coordinating guest flow within the Arena. Provide friendly, professional and courteous service to guests. Answer guest questions regarding check-in, seating, show procedures and general guest needs. Assist with resolving guest concerns and complaints in a professional and timely manner. Work with other departments to resolve guest issues when additional assistance is needed. Escalate significant guest concerns to the appropriate manager or General Manager. Maintain a professional and welcoming presence while interacting with guests. Assist with guest operations during busy show nights, weekends, holidays and special events. Help ensure guest check-in and seating areas remain organized and operate efficiently. Employee Scheduling and Supervision Prepare and maintain employee schedules to ensure adequate departmental coverage. Coordinate employee assignments and daily departmental responsibilities. Monitor employee attendance and punctuality. Review employee timekeeping and follow up on timekeeping issues. Ensure employees receive required meal and rest breaks in accordance with company policies and applicable requirements. Monitor scheduling and break-related concerns and communicate issues to the Human Resources Director. Provide day-to-day direction, guidance and support to Cash Control employees. Assist with employee training and onboarding. Communicate employee performance concerns to management and Human Resources as appropriate. Help maintain a professional, respectful and productive department. Ensure adequate staffing and coverage during busy show nights and special events. Payroll and Human Resources Coordination Work closely with the Human Resources Director to ensure accurate employee time records and timely payroll processing. Review employee timecards for missed punches, inaccurate entries, overtime and other discrepancies before payroll deadlines. Ensure timecard corrections are completed and submitted within established deadlines. Follow up with employees and managers regarding missing punches, timecard corrections and outstanding approvals. Monitor employee meal and rest break records and promptly address discrepancies. Assist with maintaining accurate employee scheduling and attendance records. Communicate payroll discrepancies, attendance concerns and timekeeping issues to the Human Resources Director. Ensure payroll-related documentation is completed accurately and submitted on time. Meet all established payroll deadlines and assist with resolving issues before payroll is finalized. Maintain confidentiality of employee and payroll information. Training and Process Improvement Train employees on cash-handling procedures, register procedures, timekeeping requirements and departmental policies. Provide ongoing coaching and guidance regarding proper departmental procedures. Provide employees with practical tips to improve accuracy, efficiency and guest service. Identify opportunities to improve daily Cash Control processes. Make practical recommendations to management regarding process improvements. Help ensure employees understand and consistently follow established procedures. Assist with implementing updated procedures and communicating changes to employees. Assist with training employees when new systems, procedures or company policies are introduced. Departmental Administration Maintain organized departmental records, reports and documentation. Ensure daily, weekly and monthly departmental deadlines are met. Prioritize payroll-related tasks and ensure required information is completed and submitted on time. Complete required closing reports and documentation at the end of shifts. Communicate operational concerns to management in a timely manner. Assist with maintaining accurate schedules, employee records and departmental documentation. Work cooperatively with Accounting, Human Resources, Operations and other departments. Perform other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent required. Two to three years of experience in cash handling, cash reconciliation, bookkeeping, customer service or a related field preferred. Previous supervisory or lead experience preferred. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other computer applications. Familiarity with timekeeping, scheduling and payroll processes preferred. Cash-handling or register experience preferred. Knowledge of California meal and rest break requirements is a plus. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to handle confidential financial and employee information. Ability to remain professional and courteous when addressing guest concerns. Good problem-solving and time-management skills. Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
WORK SCHEDULE AND AVAILABILITY
Must be available to work varying hours based on business needs. Must be available to work evenings, weekends, holidays and special events . Flexibility in scheduling is required to support departmental operations and adequate coverage during peak business periods. Must be able to adjust work hours when necessary to meet operational and payroll deadlines. Regular attendance and punctuality are essential functions of the position. Must be available to work during busy dinner show periods and special events as needed.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods. Ability to work with computers and handle paperwork. Ability to move throughout guest check-in, seating and operational areas as needed. Ability to lift and carry cash boxes or departmental supplies as needed. Ability to perform duties in a busy entertainment environment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The Cash Operations Supervisor works in a fast-paced live dinner show and entertainment environment with regular interaction with employees, guests and management. The position requires the ability to balance cash-control responsibilities with guest service, employee support, scheduling and administrative duties. The employee must be able to remain professional, organized and attentive to detail while working during busy show nights, weekends, holidays and special events.

Ensure employees understand departmental procedures. Provide professional and courteous guest service. Address guest and employee concerns appropriately. Communicate effectively with Accounting, Human Resources and Operations. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism. Support a positive and productive work environment.
Pay:
$23.00 - $23.50 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 - 40.0 per week
