Description Job Overview:
EVS Attendant II is responsible for the upkeep, cleaning and detailing of the gaming complex to include floors, ceilings, machines, bathrooms and offices located at the casino. EVS personnel will produce the highest quality of cleanliness in all areas following established procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensures that the gaming complex stays in a clean and sanitized fashion Vacuums, mops, sweeps, dusts, cleaning of wood, glass, pictures, doors, tables, chairs, slot machines, carpets and any surface Cleans floors in assigned public and employee areas, which includes all front and back of the casino Maintains and cleans equipment used; Uses equipment properly According to periodic maintenance schedule, shampoos and extracts carpets Informs the EVS Manager of any needed cleaning supplies or maintenance concerns Ensures that all applicable operating policies and procedures are adhered to at all times without deviation Provides supplementary help to Facility and Grounds department including but not limited to: painting, laying carpet, dusting ceilings, etc. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager
Job Requirements:
(please ensure you meet the listed requirements prior to applying ) High School diploma or GED required or currently enrolled and successfully complete a GED program within six (6) months from start date as a condition of continued employment Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older One (1) year experience in custodial or housekeeping duties
  • required Six (6) months of commercial carpet, tile, or floor care experience
  • required OR Six (6) months of experience in a casino EVS, custodial, or housekeeping position
  • required Must have a carpet cleaning action process knowledge within one (1) year Must successfully pass job interview, including a guest service audition Must participate in departmental training (ex: hard surface, carpet surface, etc.
) Must obtain certification in lift training annually Must have knowledge of cleaning chemicals Must be willing and able to work in the presence of solvents and cleaning chemicals Must be able to climb a ladder to perform overhead work Must be able to lift and maneuver a backpack vacuum of twenty-five (25) pounds up to two (2) hours Must be able to push or pull or maneuver a minimum of five (5) to sixty (60) pounds to assigned areas Must be able to walk or stand for 100% of assigned shift Ability to tolerate areas containing dust, second-hand smoke, bright lights and loud noises Uses dexterity and gross motor skills continually; Frequently bends, pulls, pushes, lifts, and reaches above shoulders; Occasionally kneels, climbs, and crawls in order to work in difficult positions Must have a valid and current State Driver's License and an insurable driving record for purposes of driving company vehicles as required Willing to travel and participate in training as recommended or required Must be willing and able to work all shifts including days, nights, weekends, holidays, & overtime as required Must have an Occupational License (or the ability to obtain and maintain a license) pursuant to the Illinois Gaming Act and remain in good standing with the Illinois Gaming Board as a requirement for this position Base Pay Pay range $16.00
