In this role, you'll create a warm and memorable first impression for every guest, providing genuine hospitality from the moment they arrive. You'll be responsible for managing reservations, coordinating seating, maintaining an organized host stand, and helping ensure a smooth and enjoyable guest experience. The ideal candidate is personable, organized, confident, and able to thrive in a fast-paced restaurant environment while maintaining a polished and professional presence. Responsibilities Welcome and greet guests warmly with genuine hospitality and a friendly, professional demeanor Manage reservations and guest information using Toast and Resy Coordinate seating and table assignments to maintain an efficient and balanced dining room flow Monitor and manage waitlists while providing guests with accurate wait-time expectations Answer incoming phone calls professionally and assist with reservations, questions, and general restaurant information Assist guests with special requests, menu questions, and restaurant policies Communicate effectively with servers, managers, and other members of the team to ensure smooth service Monitor guest flow and assist with maintaining an organized and efficient front-of-house operation Keep the host stand and surrounding areas clean, organized, and presentable at all times Follow restaurant standards for hospitality, cleanliness, and guest service Maintain a calm, positive, and professional attitude during busy service periods Requirements Previous experience as a host or hostess in a restaurant or hospitality environment preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Warm, personable, and genuinely hospitality-minded Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment Comfortable managing reservations, waitlists, and guest flow Familiarity with Toast POS and Resy preferred Professional phone etiquette and clear verbal communication Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work effectively as part of a team Basic math and computer skills Knowledge of restaurant and hospitality standards Must be reliable, punctual, and able to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who understands that great hospitality starts at the door.
