Summary:
Do you have experience providing delightful customer service in a winery, receptionist, restaurant, or retail position? Are you looking to grow professionally? Exercise your excellent customer service skills as our Front Desk Host- no prior hotel experience or college degree required! As a Front Desk Host , you will handle typical front desk administrative tasks, including guest check-ins, check-outs, billing, and phone operations, all while ensuring the guest experience never feels transactional. Additionally, you'll assist with preparing rooms for arrival and serving our daily breakfast in our onsite restaurant. No prior serving experience? That's okay, we will train the right candidate. Most importantly, you will exude warmth and welcome, delighting in assisting guests with a wide array of concierge inquiries, requests, and, yes, even complaints (though we hope to prevent those!). The Host will treat each visitor as a guest in their own home, letting their authentic charm and personality shine through while maintaining professionalism and focusing on guests' expressed and unexpressed needs. Our intimate team thrives on collaboration, helping out wherever needed to ensure our guests are well cared for. Skills and qualificationsMust Haves:
A natural and exemplary service mindset - a desire to wow guests and create positive, memorable experiences. Comfort with decision-making, including empowerment to ensure optimal guest experiences without frequent managerial input. A personal passion for delighting guests with care, creativity, and problem-solving. Computer proficiency and literacy. Ability to quickly learn web-based software and analytical concepts. Multi-tasking capabilities and the ability to prioritize a variety of tasks. Strong communication skills, both oral and written (including telephone and email). Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and achieve objectives with minimal supervision; proactive. Strong organizational skills, with exceptional attention to detail and consistent follow-through. Interpersonal awareness, relationship management, and intuition skills Flexible availability for various shifts, including weekends and holidays, and willingness to assist with additional shifts as needed. Legally authorized to work in the United States. Ability to complete physical duties of the job, including sitting or standing for extended periods, pushing/pulling at least 100 lbs., and lifting at least 50 lbs. A flexible, positive attitude and the willingness to handle a variety of tasks that may change daily. A commitment to inclusivity and respect toward both guests and colleagues.Preferred Skills:
Previous customer service, hospitality, retail, serving, bartending, or wine experience. Prior experience with property management systems, point-of-sale systems, and credit card transactions. Familiarity with the local area and attractions. Schedule ,Hours & Compensation:
In hospitality, there is no such thing as a "set schedule", so we request your flexibility and willingness to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays. That said, we will always strive to optimize the schedule to best accommodate the needs of the team. Typical shifts are 7am-3:30pm and/or 3pm-11:30pm but can vary based on the needs of the hotel. Compensation is $22.39/hour plus tips , along with access to a variety of employee benefits and perks. Delight and connect with guests by offering warm, personalized greetings, anticipating their needs, providing tailored recommendations and insider tips, surprising them with thoughtful gestures, and addressing concerns with empathy and urgency. Provide a seamless check-in and check-out experience. Respond promptly and professionally to guest inquiries, requests, and complaints, ensuring every interaction reflects genuine care and attention. Act as a concierge, offering personalized recommendations and detailed information about local attractions and activities. Assist with serving breakfast in the onsite restaurant, providing a friendly and attentive dining experience. Maintain the front desk area to ensure it is clean, organized, and presentable at all times. Process payments and handle point-of-sale transactions accurately and securely. Utilize property management systems to manage bookings, check availability, and update guest records. Collaborate with team members to address operational needs and ensure smooth daily operations. Proactively identify and resolve guest issues, applying creative problem-solving skills to enhance guest satisfaction. Monitor and maintain accurate records of guest preferences, special requests, and feedback to continually improve the guest experience. Assist other departments, including maintenance, culinary, and housekeeping, as needed to support overall operations. Uphold company standards of hospitality, professionalism, and inclusivity in all interactions. Adhere to safety protocols and assist in maintaining a secure environment for guests and staff.
