Job Summary We're looking for a compassionate, dependable, and highly organized Veterinary Client Service Representative / Hospital Host to join our Primary Care team. Our Hosts are an essential part of the client and patient experience, serving as the primary connection between our clients, doctors, and patient care team. This position is focused on front-of-house operations, client communication, scheduling, and helping maintain an organized and efficient flow throughout the hospital. This position is primarily based at IVVH Primary Care . As part of our collaborative hospital network, team members may occasionally be asked to provide coverage or support at an affiliated hospital, including IVVH Emergency & Critical Care, based on operational needs. Key Responsibilities Greet clients and patients and provide a welcoming, professional experience Answer incoming calls and respond to client communications in a timely and professional manner Schedule and confirm appointments while helping maintain an efficient appointment flow Check clients in and out and process payments Communicate clearly with clients regarding appointments, estimates, hospital processes, and follow-up needs Coordinate communication between clients, veterinarians, and the patient care team Assist with prescription requests, medical record requests, and other client follow-up Maintain accurate client and patient information Communicate delays, schedule changes, and client concerns to the appropriate team members Help maintain an organized, clean, and welcoming reception area Support opening, closing, and other daily front-desk responsibilities Work collaboratively with the veterinary team to support efficient hospital operations and an exceptional client experience Requirements Previous experience working in a veterinary hospital or veterinary client service environment Excellent communication and customer service skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment Dependable attendance and punctuality Ability to communicate professionally and compassionately with clients, including during stressful or emotional situations Reliable transportation Flexibility to occasionally provide coverage at affiliated hospital locations based on operational needs Availability to work opening and/or closing shifts and Saturdays as scheduled Preferred Previous experience as a Veterinary Receptionist, Client Service Representative, Hospital Host, or similar veterinary support role Experience with veterinary practice management software such as Instinct, ezyVet, Cornerstone, or similar Familiarity with veterinary terminology, prescription requests, medical records, and appointment scheduling Benefits Benefits may include, based on eligibility: Competitive pay based on experience Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) Paid time off and paid sick leave Employee pet care discounts Uniform allowance Opportunities for professional growth and development Schedule This is an in-person position based primarily at IVVH Primary Care .
