We're looking for a Lead Host to work alongside our Hosts and help ensure each shift runs smoothly. This is a hands-on role focused on cat care, guest experience, cleanliness, and daily shift operations . Responsibilities Complete cat health checks during every shift , document observations, and communicate any concerns Provide daily cat care, including feeding, fresh water, litter box maintenance, enrichment, and socialization Work alongside Hosts to keep the shift organized and ensure daily procedures and checklists are completed Welcome guests, facilitate safe interaction with the cats, and provide a warm, engaging experience Share information about the cats, adoptions, and Crumbs & Whiskers Complete opening and closing responsibilities Keep the store and cat areas clean, organized, and guest-ready Clean litter boxes, floors, bathrooms, furniture, and other areas as needed Restock supplies and move furniture or equipment when necessary Make regular café runs to pick up guest food and drink orders from nearby café partners What We're Looking For Genuine love of cats Previous experience working with animals Previous customer service, hospitality, retail, or similar experience Previous leadership, supervisory, or shift-lead experience Reliable, responsible, and organized Comfortable providing direction and support to Hosts Patient and gentle with animals Comfortable with cleaning and hands-on work Able to learn and follow cat-care and health-check procedures Strong communication and customer service skills Physical Requirements This is an active position requiring you to be on your feet throughout the shift. You must be comfortable bending, kneeling, reaching, cleaning, moving supplies and equipment, and lifting and carrying at least 40 lbs. Schedule Part-time Weekend availability strongly preferred Closing availability strongly preferred Weekday shifts also available Important to Know This is not a barista position. Food and beverages are provided by nearby café partners. Leads make regular café runs to pick up guest orders, but food and beverage preparation is not part of the role. The Lead Host is a shift-level position , working alongside Hosts and supporting the Store Manager. This is not a Store Manager position.
