Host/Hostess Pier 50 Sushi Arden is looking for a friendly, dependable, and team-oriented Host/Hostess to join our team. This position plays an important role in creating a welcoming guest experience and supporting smooth front-of-house operations. The ideal candidate is professional, hardworking, organized, and able to work well in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Responsibilities Greet guests warmly and provide a positive first impression Manage guest seating and assist with waitlist flow Answer guest questions and assist with general front-of-house needs Communicate with servers and management to help maintain smooth seating and guest flow Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand, entrance area, dining room, and service areas Assist with light front-of-house support duties as assigned Keep menus, supplies, and host materials organized Provide professional, friendly, and courteous service to all guests Support team members as needed during busy shifts Qualifications Previous or current restaurant, host, or customer service experience preferred Strong communication and teamwork skills Friendly, professional, and guest-focused attitude Ability to stay organized and work efficiently during busy shifts Dependable, punctual, and willing to support the team Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment Alcohol Service Requirement This role may include assisting with the service of alcoholic beverages. Applicants must be legally eligible to serve alcohol in California and able to obtain and maintain the required Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification in accordance with state law.
