Job Description
Host Brickmans at The Links is the main restaurant of the property. You will be responsible for providing a warm welcome to guests as they arrive, as well as a fond farewell when they depart. You will manage the seating of the guests and show them to their table or waiting area. You will engage with guests to ensure they are enjoying their dining experience. The duties of a Host include, but are not limited to, the following: Greet guests as they enter and provide information and directions as needed. Possess a good knowledge of the menu, able to provide menus to guests and answer any questions. Seat guests at tables or place them on a wait list. Assign guests to preferred tables, while keeping table rotation in mind so that servers receive a fair number of customers. Update floor chart regularly throughout the shift. Clean menus as required throughout the shift. Ensure the front door area and waiting lobby are maintained and cleaned, both inside and out. Keep Host stand clean and stocked with necessary items. Engage and provide excellent hospitality and service to the guests to ensure they enjoy their experience. Possess good phone hospitality, make reservations, and answer any questions. Assist in other areas of the restaurant as needed. Prior restaurant experience is a plus. Must possess an energetic, positive attitude and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced, team environment. Able to work in a standing position for extended periods of time. Can perform high quality work while unsupervised. Able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food when necessary. Able to handle money accurately and operate a point-of-sale (POS) system. Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products. Maintain regular and punctual attendance. Be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as dictated by business demands. Willingly perform other reasonable tasks and duties as assigned by Management.
