Duties Greet guests with a friendly smile and genuine enthusiasm, making them feel valued from the moment they step through the door Manage reservations and waitlists using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to optimize seating efficiency Escort guests to their tables, providing menus and answering initial questions about the menu or specials Maintain clear communication with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and guest satisfaction Handle guest inquiries over the phone with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and guest relations skills Assist in maintaining a clean, organized host stand and dining area to uphold high standards of hospitality and guest comfort Support guest needs throughout their visit, ensuring a positive experience that encourages repeat visits and positive reviews Qualifications Previous host/hostess experience in a fast-paced restaurant or food service environment is preferred Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with diverse guests Experience with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable Knowledge of hospitality standards, including guest services, serving protocols, and hotel experience is a plus Excellent phone etiquette and guest relations skills to handle inquiries professionally Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining a lively, energetic demeanor Prior experience in food service or restaurant settings enhances your ability to anticipate guest needs and deliver exceptional service contact the manager @213.703.5476
