We are seeking friendly and organized Host/Hostess's to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere while managing reservations and seating arrangements. This role is essential in ensuring that guests have a positive dining experience from the moment they arrive. Previous host experience is required. Job Summary Responsibilities Greet guests warmly with a smile and escort them to their tables Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently Manage and monitor the reservation system all throughout the shift to see where things can be changed/moved to maximize our guest seating. Manage and monitor pacing of the restaurant, finding the balance of not overwhelming the kitchen and servers, but also being able to get people in. Provide menus and inform guests of daily specials Maintain a clean and organized front-of-house area Optimize seating at different tables and sections to even the workload for servers. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to ensure smooth service Handle guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism Answer phone and assist with questions regarding current wait times, taking/editing reservations, etc. Assist waitstaff as needed/directed. Utilize POS systems such as Toast order processing of to-go orders and retail. Assist in maintaining guest relations by providing exceptional customer service Experience Previous Host/Host experience required, ideally in a restaurant or hotel setting Strong background in food service and hospitality Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Familiarity with POS systems, specifically Toast POS, is a plus Experience in guest services and serving is beneficial Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail Proficient phone etiquette for handling reservations and inquiries Requirements Ability to stand continuously Previous customer service experience Previous host/restaurant experience is preferred
