Job Description
•All candidates must complete the pre-screening questions before submitting their application. Candidates with missing information will not be considered•Who are we? We are looking for outgoing and enthusiastic hosts interested in running weekly trivia nights in New Haven, CT. Categories, questions, and media will be supplied to you before each event. Your job is to put on a show for the audience that encourages attendance, week after week. Our weekly events last roughly 2 hours, and hosts are compensated at a rate of $75 per night. Who are you? Working as a trivia host is a great way to make some extra money while having fun and participating in a vibrant community. But not just anyone can be a trivia host—our strongest candidates will be: Engaging and inviting communicators. Teachers, Bartenders, Actors, DJs, comedians, or anyone with a strong confidence and friendly personality. Passionate about knowledge and trivia. Jeopardy fans, that means you! Reliable hosts committed to showing up on time every week Available Tuesdays, Wednesdays and or Thursdays 7-9pm Responsibilities Review trivia categories and questions prior to the event to ensure smooth delivery of instructions Execute fun and engaging trivia nights for audiences of 15-100 people at bars, breweries, and event spaces in New Haven. Answer questions and resolve conflicts put forward by players or venue staff Punctual and reliable attendance to the weekly event before the scheduled start time Requirements Must be available on Sunday Evenings Be at least 21 years of age Have reliable personal transportation Must own a laptop with HDMI capability, or with an HDMI adapter Have consistent evening availability on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and or Thursdays. Ability to commit to at least 6 months of hosting in New Haven.
