Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and welcoming Host/Hostess to join our vibrant hospitality team! In this pivotal role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere from the moment they arrive. Your enthusiasm, organizational skills, and exceptional customer service will set the tone for an outstanding dining experience. This paid position offers a dynamic environment where your communication skills and hospitality expertise will shine, ensuring every guest feels valued and cared for throughout their visit. Responsibilities Greet guests with a friendly and professional demeanor, making them feel immediately welcomed Manage restaurant reservations efficiently using restaurant table management systems Answer incoming phone calls with excellent phone etiquette, providing information and confirming reservations Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table turnover and guest satisfaction Maintain organized waiting lists and communicate wait times clearly to guests Assist with guest relations by addressing inquiries and resolving concerns promptly and courteously Support food service staff by ensuring smooth flow of guest seating and table readiness Requirements Prior experience as a host/hostess or in a customer service role within a restaurant or food service environment Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests Outgoing, friendly, tea player Excellent organizational skills to manage reservations, waitlists, and guest flow efficiently Basic math skills for handling seating arrangements and managing wait times accurately Familiarity with food safety standards and hospitality best practices Ability to handle phone communication professionally, demonstrating proper phone etiquette at all times Must be able to work Saturdays and Sundays from approximately 8 am to 2:00 pm. We are looking for somebody who is friendly, has an upbeat personality, who will jump in on day one and help out our team.
