We are seeking a polished, friendly, and highly organized Full-Time Host & Guest Services Associate to serve as one of the primary faces of our property. This is more than a traditional restaurant host position. Our host stand also functions as the front desk for our ten-room inn, making this an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys working with both restaurant and overnight guests. The right person will be naturally welcoming, comfortable handling multiple responsibilities, and genuinely invested in making every guest feel cared for. Primary Responsibilities Warmly greet and seat restaurant guests Manage reservations, waitlists, table assignments, and the flow of service Answer incoming phone calls and respond to general guest questions Assist overnight guests with check-in, check-out, room access, and property information Create, update, and manage restaurant and inn reservations Process payments and maintain accurate guest information Communicate special requests, celebrations, dietary restrictions, and accessibility needs to the appropriate team members Coordinate closely with restaurant managers, servers, bartenders, housekeeping, the kitchen, and the events team Assist wedding and private-event guests with basic questions and direct inquiries to the appropriate manager Help maintain an organized, polished, and welcoming host stand, lobby, and guest arrival area Monitor guest satisfaction and address concerns calmly and professionally Provide information about dining, lodging, property amenities, local attractions, and transportation Assist with light administrative work, reservation follow-up, and guest communications Support the overall operation wherever needed during busy services, weddings, and special events The Ideal Candidate Has prior restaurant hosting, hotel front desk, reservations, or hospitality experience Is warm, polished, confident, and genuinely enjoys working with people Communicates clearly and professionally in person, by phone, and through email Is highly organized and comfortable managing several priorities at once Remains calm and gracious during busy services Has strong attention to detail and follows through on guest requests Is comfortable learning reservation, point-of-sale, and property-management systems Works well independently while remaining a supportive member of the larger team Understands that exceptional hospitality comes from anticipating needs—not simply reacting to them Is dependable, punctual, and available on evenings, weekends, and holidays as business requires Schedule This is a full-time position scheduled five days per week. The schedule will include a combination of afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on restaurant, inn, wedding, and event activity. Weekend availability is essential. Why Join 1754 House?
