This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys providing exceptional hospitality from the moment guests arrive. The Host is responsible for greeting and seating guests, managing reservations and waitlists, and ensuring a smooth flow of service in the dining area. This position requires strong communication skills, a professional demeanor, and the ability to remain composed during busy shifts.
What You Do:
Greet guests as they enter and manage the waiting list as necessary. Provide guests with menus and answer initial questions. Seat guests at tables or in waiting areas. Assign guests to preferred tables while maintaining table rotation for balanced server assignments. Engage with guests to ensure satisfaction with food and service. Respond to complaints and assist in resolving them. Answer phone calls, take reservations, and provide information. Be knowledgeable of the menu. Assist with other restaurant positions as needed. Deliver excellent customer service. Cultivate and enter guest data into guest management software. Perform any other duties as assigned. What You Bring to the
Table:
Ability to deliver top-notch customer service in a fast-paced environment. Positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with all restaurant staff. Perform high-quality work unsupervised. Willingness to follow instructions and seek clarification when needed. Accurate handling of money and operation of a point-of-sale system. Able to work effectively in a busy restaurant environment. Restaurant experience is a plus. Able to stand and walk for extended periods, up to 8 hours. Able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds. Ability to safely maneuver trays of food and other items as needed. Comfortable with repetitive motions, including standing, walking, and reaching. Must be able to work in varying temperatures, including hot and cold environments. Ability to perform tasks that involve bending, twisting, and stooping.
