Responsibilities Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage waitlists efficiently using restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS. Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table turnover while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. Handle reservation management with precision, ensuring all bookings are accurately recorded and communicated. Answer incoming phone calls with professionalism, providing information about wait times, reservations, and general inquiries while practicing excellent phone etiquette. Assist with maintaining cleanliness and organization of the host station and waiting area to uphold food safety standards. Collaborate closely with servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to ensure seamless guest flow and timely seating. Utilize POS systems effectively for reservation entries and guest tracking, supporting overall restaurant operations. Experience Previous host or hostess experience in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality setting is highly preferred. Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic demeanor that makes guests feel valued and appreciated. Familiarity with restaurant reservation management tools and restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to handle phone communication professionally and courteously. Basic math skills for managing reservations, waitlists, and guest billing when necessary. Knowledge of food safety practices and food service procedures is a plus.
