Duties Greet guests with a friendly, positive attitude and provide excellent customer service from arrival to departure Manage restaurant reservations using restaurant table management systems such as Toast POS, ensuring accurate seating arrangements Coordinate guest seating efficiently to minimize wait times and optimize table turnover Answer phone calls with professional phone etiquette, assist with reservation inquiries, and handle guest requests promptly Maintain organized waiting lists, monitor table availability, and communicate effectively with the team to ensure seamless service flow Support food safety standards by maintaining cleanliness of the host station and adhering to hygiene protocols Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure guest needs are met quickly and accurately Requirements Prior experience as a host/hostess or in food service is highly preferred, demonstrating familiarity with restaurant operations Strong communication skills, including clear verbal interaction and professional phone etiquette Knowledge of restaurant reservation management software such as Toast POS is a plus Basic math skills for handling reservations, seating calculations, and POS transactions Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tables, reservations, and guest requests efficiently Ability to stand, walk, and remain active for extended periods during shifts A genuine passion for hospitality and guest relations, with a focus on creating positive experiences for all visitors Join us in creating a lively atmosphere where every guest feels valued!
