Duties Greet guests warmly with genuine enthusiasm, making them feel valued and comfortable from the outset Manage reservations, waitlists, and seating arrangements efficiently using POS systems such as toast POS and Opentable Communicate clearly and professionally with guests regarding wait times, table availability, and menu information Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth flow of service and optimal guest experience Maintain a clean, organized host stand and waiting area that reflects our commitment to hospitality excellence Handle guest inquiries over the phone with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and guest relations skills Assist with guest seating adjustments during busy periods, ensuring timely service and guest satisfaction Experience Availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays 4pm- 10pm Previous host/hostess experience in a food service or restaurant environment preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a positive attitude above all Strong customer service background with excellent communication skills and the ability to engage guests warmly Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus Experience in hotel or hospitality settings enhances your ability to deliver exceptional guest services Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism Knowledge of food service operations, serving procedures, and guest relations principles is advantageous Demonstrated ability to uphold phone etiquette standards and foster positive guest interactions
