River Street Tavern is adding to our front of house service team as our business is growing. We are a full-service restaurant and bar in the busy Dundee Culinary District. Host responsibilities include, but are not limited to, greeting and welcoming each guest as they enter the restaurant, coordinating the floor plan and wait list, seating tables, communicating with service staff, answering phone calls, taking phone orders, directing phone calls and issues to management, side work, and cleaning. Weekends and some holidays are mandatory. Team work and excellent hospitality skills are necessary. This position requires communication with other staff members and customers. Hosts will earn an hourly rate plus tips from take-out orders. Hosts will also be trained to run food and will have the option to work food running shifts along with host shifts. Food running shifts earn additional tips from service staff. The restaurant is closed Mondays. Shifts will be weekday dinner shifts and weekend lunch or dinner shifts. Shifts typically run about 3-5 hours. This is a part-time position with 3-4 shifts each week.
