Overview We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued from the moment they arrive. This role is essential in creating a positive dining experience and requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for hospitality. Duties Greet guests warmly as they enter the restaurant and provide them with menus. Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize table turnover. Maintain an organized waitlist during peak hours, ensuring timely seating for guests. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to coordinate guest needs. Assist guests with inquiries about menu items, specials, and restaurant policies. Handle phone calls professionally, providing information about the restaurant and taking reservations as needed. Ensure cleanliness and organization of the host/host area at all times. Support the team by assisting with food service during busy periods when necessary. Skills Strong phone etiquette to handle incoming calls with professionalism. Excellent guest service skills to create memorable experiences for diners. Familiarity with Toast POS or similar point-of-sale systems is preferred but not required. Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings is beneficial. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with both guests and team members. Knowledge of hospitality best practices to enhance guest satisfaction. A proactive attitude towards helping guests and resolving any concerns promptly.
