Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage reservation bookings with precision using restaurant reservation management systems. Escort guests to their tables, ensuring smooth flow and timely seating arrangements. Handle guest inquiries via phone with professional phone etiquette, providing accurate information about wait times and menu options. Manage waitlists and communicate wait times effectively to enhance guest satisfaction. Process customer payments accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, including cash, credit/debit cards, and mobile payments. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area in compliance with food safety standards. Collaborate with kitchen and service staff to coordinate seating arrangements and optimize table turnover for maximum guest satisfaction. Qualifications Previous experience as a host/hostess or cashier in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage reservations, waitlists, and seating efficiently. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on guest relations and customer service excellence. Familiarity with restaurant table management systems and POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately. Knowledge of food safety standards and proper hygiene practices in a hospitality setting. Ability to remain energetic, friendly, and professional in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
